1. General Information

Business School incorporates 4 departments and 1 center. They are: Department of Management Science and Engineering, Department of Business and Public Administration, Department of Applied Economics, Department of System Science and Engineering and MBA/MPA Center. Its subjects involve in management science and engineering, business administration, public administration, system science and system engineering.

 

2. Academic Programs

Graduate Program

(1) PH.D

There is one Postdoctoral Station of Management Science and Engineering, and the school is entitled to confer Doctor’s degree in 2 programs, the Management Science and Engineering which covers 6 fields, namely Management Science and Engineering, Industrial and Management Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Management and Information systems, Engineering Management and Management of Science and Technology, as well as Systems Analysis and Integration.

(2) M.S

The school is entitle to confer Master’s degree in 17 programs, namely Management Science and Engineering, Educational Economy and Management, Systems Engineering, Systems Analysis and Integration, Enterprise Management, Public Administration, National Economics, Regional Economics, Public Finance, Industrial Economics, International Trade, Labor Economics, Technology Economy and Management, Finance (including Insurance), Statistics, Systems Theory and MBA.

In addition, it is also entitled to confer Special Master’s degree in 5 programs, namely Serial degree of “Management Science and Engineering” for faculty, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, Logistics Project and MBA/MPA.

 

Undergraduate Program

The school is enabled to confer Bachelor’s degree in 12 programs, namely Industrial Engineering, Management Science, Business Administration, Information Management and Information Systems, Public Administration, Systems Science and Engineering, International Economics and Trade, Accounting, E-business, Finance, Marketing, Project Management.

 

3. Educational Cooperation

The Joint International College of Management is established by Business School, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST) and College of Business and Administration, University of North Dakota (UND) as well as College of Science and Technology, Central Michigan University (CMU). There are two undergraduate programs namely Business Administration and Information Management and Information Systems and one MPA program all approved by Shanghai Education Committee. Upon completing all the writing qualified graduation papers, students can obtain the Diploma awarded by Chinese party and Certificate granted by UND of CMU. Some outstanding students will be recommended and sent to further their studies for Master’s degree in the UND or CMU.
